I have been working with the process for the last 6 years now and it is my sole occupation. And, I am on the west coast! I provide the chemicals and equipment to allow you to make one quarter plate providing some great hands on experience.

Manual:
I'll provide you with the American Hand Book of The Daguerreotype by Humphrey, 1858 manual. It’s a reprint of the original manual that really provides useful information on making daguerreotypes.

Materials Needed:
All the materials will be supplied during the tutorial. One quarter plate is included that you will make your image on and keep.

Equipment:
I have a 4x5 and an 8x10 camera for you to use here. You do not necessarily have to have large format experience. I am willing to teach you what you need to know in order to use one of these cameras. However I do encourage you to bring your own view camera if you have one.
